I mentioned the $100 bonus from Sovereign Bank back in this April. And to my surprise, I found that my promotion link to the $100 is still alive! In other words, Sovereign Bank is offering $100 sign up bonus for opening a new checking account and making required banking activities. Here is how to get the $100 bonus:

• Open a Premier or Interest Checking Account along with a minimum $100 deposit by 10/30/2009
• Open a Sovereign savings or money market savings account with a minimum $100 deposit
• Enroll in Online Banking at account opening
• Use the checkcard issued by Sovereign Bank and make 2 qualified purchases within 60 days of account opening

Fine print:

In order to qualify for this cash bonus, you need to: (1) open a new Sovereign Premier Checking, Business Owner Premier Checking, Interest Checking or Partnership Checking account by October 30, 2009, with a minimum opening deposit of $100; (2) request a Sovereign CheckCard (”CheckCard”) and make 2 CheckCard purchases within 60 days after you open your account; (3) open any Sovereign savings or money market savings account with a minimum opening deposit of $100 or already have a savings or money market savings account; and (4) enroll in Online Banking at account opening. When you qualify, you will receive a credit of $100 to your new checking account within 75 days after you open your checking account. One $100 credit per customer.

Although there is no direct deposit required to get the $100 bonus, direct deposit is needed to avoid the $10 monthly fee for the interest checking account.

It has been a long time since I posted the latest Banking Promotion from US Banks. The economic situation is still not very good. Sovereign Bank is offering $100 sign up bonus for opening a new checking account and make required banking activities. This is a great promotion for us since there is no direct deposit required to earn the easy $100 bonus. If you want to open a new account and want to make some easy money, this is a great chance.

The $100 bonus is pretty easy to get. The promotion page is located at www.sovereignbank.com/100. Following is the detailed promotion requirements:

• Use your CheckCard to make 6 purchases totaling at least $250 in 60 days

The Interest Checking Account requires monthly direct deposit to avoid monthly fees ($5). The Premier Checking Account requires $15000 balance every month to avoid monthly fees ($25)! I certainly would like to suggest you open an Interest Checking Account to get the $100 bonus. Try your luck!

These days I have seen a lot of sign-up promotions from many US banks. Here are some new banking bonuses other than I previously posted two days ago.

The first one is the $50 checking account bonus from Wells Fargo. The second one is $100 checking account bonus from Provident Bank. And the third one is $150/$100 from Sovereign Bank.

I only reported one banking bonus from Wells Fargo Bank in 2007. And this one is similar to the one in 2007. The $50 bonus is a really easy free money. Because Wells Fargo doesn’t require you to maintain minimum balance with this checking account. At the same time, you don’t have to make direct deposit to this account to receive the $50 bonus. Provident Bank has a $100 checking account bonus for opening a checking account with direct deposit. The new checking account should be opened before Nov. 21, 2008. Sometimes the bankers will need you to present your business license in order to open a business account for you. Sometimes you can tell them that you’re a solo proprietor and want to use your SSN as ITN. It seems it’s easier to get a business card than to open a business checking account.
