Moving Credit Limit with Chase

September 16th, 2007 David No comments

I have a chase freedom card for about 6 months. The initial credit limit is $200. (don’t laugh at me) Then I asked for increasing credit limit twice. Both were got rejected! Emm…I don’t know what happened. Then today I called in to close this account. The credit analyst talked with me for about 30 min. She told me that I could move credit limit with any chase cards. I have chase freedom card, chase amazon.com card and sony card. She said I could move any amount among the 3 cards. Then I moved $1000 from sony card. (I even didn’t activate that card!) The fact is I got 2 hard pulls in my credit report.(sad) I hope I can do it better next time. The credit analyst told me that sometimes the total credit limit I can get is not only base on chase but also consider other credit card issuers. Through the talk I can see the household income is very important. And this is a fact, right? If you have a high household income, you probably will spend more…..then you know what will happen…

update on Sep 20: I forgot to mention that the credit analyst gave me $10 rewards for my lost.

Chase Sony Card

September 11th, 2007 David 2 comments

06337_pv_rrgb_i41470217273.jpgI got my chase sony card today! This is my 11st credit card since I came here last year. My first credit card is from National City Bank. At first, I’d like to write about my application experience with chase sony card. I submitted my application for Chase Sony Card on Aug 1st, 2007. I used the link from Chase.com which will give me 1,500 points bonus. I didn’t get the immediate response which means I have to get approved by a credit analyst. In the next two weeks, I still didn’t get any information from Chase. On Aug 17th, I received a call from Chase. But I missed that call becasue I was in my bathroom! Then several days later I received a letter which asked me to sent out my bank statement, power bills or phone bills to verify my personal information. I faxed all the required materials on Aug 23rd. Then after two weeks, I didn’t get any information. Wait and wait…… On Aug 26th, when I bought a cell phone from Amazon I applied for an Amazon.com visa card. On Aug 28th, I got a call from Chase to verify that I did apply for this card. I got approved immediately! However, I still didn’t have any information about my Chase Sony Card! I called Chase this afternoon. That guy put me hold for about 10 mins, and then told me that he approved my application and I should receive my new Chase Sony Card in 7-10 days! Amazing! I got my Sony Card finally! The phone number is 800-480-1870. I think this phone number belongs to the new accounts department. With this phone, you can talk to the credit analysts in person which will give you great chance to get new credit card. SO please remember this number.

Let’s talk about Chase Sony Card. At Chase.com, you can find that Chase is offerring 1,500 points after first purchase. However, when you apply for this card at sony.com, you can see the offer is “get a sony reader for $49.95 plus S&H”. That’s about $250. Are they differen’t? In fact, they are offerring tha same thing. You use about $50 to buy extra points and combine the 1,500 points to buy a sony reader. At the same time, you can get 100 ebooks for free! Anyway, the 1,500 points is equal to $150. There seems another offer from sonystyle.com—get $150 credit with $299 purchase at sonystyle.com. I think chase sony card currently is offerring the best signup bonus. At last, a kind reminder—this deal ends in Sep 30th, 2007. Hurry up!

September 9th, 2007 David No comments

Hi, I am writing about the Chase Bank offer for our new customers. At first, you can get $100 for a new Chase checking account with direct deposit (DD). If you have a $25 coupon from your friends, you can get $125! Amazing offer! Then you can ask for $25 coupons from the banker. After you give the coupons to your friends who are willing to get an account from Chase. You can get $25 for each refer. Awesome! Wait! There is more you can earn from Chase!!! Register you chase check card with this link: https://www.chase.com you can get $50 for simply using your chase check card over$500 by October 15, 2007. Emm…. Chase is so nice for our newbies. If you don’t want to put your stipend into the chase checking account, there is a desent way to setup the DD. Use your paypal account, and send a certain amount (can be as little as 1 cent) to your chase checking account every month. Chase takes the paypal transfer as DD. You can also transfer the money from ING Direct account to your chase account. Can you imagine how much you can get from Chase??? If you can’t spend $500 before Oct 15, 2007, go to wamart and buy a $500 gift card. Make sure you use the debit card as credit card (you tell the cashier that you want to use it as credit car. Don’t input your PIN! In this way, you can buy foods from Walmart with 10% off!)
