Finally, we get news on the “huge” credit card offer from Chase. From the link provided here, we can see that Chase and British Airlines are offering super hot 100,000 bonus miles after spending $2000 in three months. This offer is much better than I mentioned American Express Premier Rewards Gold Card which is offering $150 bonus after spending $1000 in 3 months.

I believe this 100,000 bonus miles are good enough for TWO round trips from USA to Europe or Asia. This deal is way better than other airline miles offers. You can check the miles needed to get a free ticket at here.

The bad thing on this card is that there is a $75 annual fee on this card. This card is now available for application for U.S. British Airways Executive Club members and those who are not club members have to wait until November 16 to start application.

If you can not make $2000 in 3 months, you can still get 50,000 bonus miles after first purchase. (Surely, you will make $2000 goal. Because usually you can buy some gift cards to qualify the spending requirements.)

Another feature is that if you spend over $30000 on this card, you can get a free companion ticket. If you travel a lot, I think this is a decent offer for you.

So, why wait? 100,000 bonus miles are not usual.

(Tips, visa signature card is a high-end visa card, you need relatively good credit standing to get is approved.)

Chase Freedom Card is offering $50 bonus and now the newly released Chase Sapphire Card is offering $100 bonus. To me, Chase is the only credit card issuer that still offers huge sign up bonus for credit cards that are not charging annual fees. I have 4 credit cards at Chase and over the past few years I never have any problem with them. So I would like to share this information with you. If you are not approved instantly, you can call Chase to check the application status. And if you have other credit cards at Chase, you can move part of your other credit cards’ credit limit to this new Chase Sapphire Card to get it approved.

So what’s this new Chase Sapphire Card is offering?

This Chase Sapphire Card is offering 10,000 bonus points after your first purchase, balance transfer, or check that is used to access your account, excluding cash advances. This 10,000 bonus points will be deposited to your account within 6~8 weeks which can be redeemed for a $100 gift card. So basically you are getting $100 gift card from Chase after first use of this credit card.

The most important thing is this Chase Sapphire Card does not have annual fee! You are worry-free!

In addition, You will earn 1 point for each $1 of net purchases. You will earn an additional 1 point for each $1 of eligible airfare net purchases made online through the program booking tool. There is no maximum number of points that you can accumulate in the program. All of the points accumulated can be redeemed for gift cards and airline tickets. The points can be redeemed starting at 2,500 points for a $25 statement credit to apply to any purchase(s) made with your Chase credit card, where permitted by law, and in 100-point increments for each additional $1 of credit. Rebate redemptions start at $25 in rebates for a $25 statement credit to apply to any purchase(s) made with your Chase credit card, where permitted by law.

Chase also has the ultimate rewards mall, which is an online shopping rewards program like the add it up from Bank of America. You can earn additional points for shopping through this Chase Ultimate Rewards Mall.

Currently, I think this Chase Sapphire Card is the best personal card from Chase or other credit card issuer. Especially for those who spend a lot of money per year and can easily reach the rewards cap set by credit card issuers. Go and grab a Chase Sapphire Card now!!!

This is a truth. Chase Freedom Card is not my top choice of cashback credit card now. Today, however, I received an email from Chase that my Chase Freedom Card is offering 3% cashback on selected categories from October 1 to December 31, 2009.

The promotional link to this promotion is at: www.ChaseBonus.Com/freedom41. You need to enter your last name, last four digits of your account number, zip code and email address. This promotion will allow you to get 3% cashback on discount stores, computer and electronic stores and bookstores. Since the big shopping season is coming soon, this promotion definitely offers great chance to save money on above 3 categories. You can also call 1-877-532-3820 to enroll in this promotion.

Fine print:

Online and catalog purchases are not eligible to receive the bonus rewards unless the merchants have correctly identified and billed the transactions. We do not determine whether merchants correctly identify and bill transactions as being made in each category. However, we do reserve the right to determine which purchases qualify for the bonus rewards. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks after the last day of the promotional period for bonus rewards to post to your account. Maximum bonus reward accumulation during the promotional period is $30.

Posts about Overdraft Fees at MyCardBlog.com are very popular. It is really disappointing that you use the services from banks, put your money there and charged for some trial mistakes. Now, some major banks are considering changing overdraft fees policies. Bank of America and Chase are the first banks to revise overdraft fees policies. Let’s see what will be changed?

Bank of America

Bank of America announced changes to be implemented on October 19, 2009 including not charging overdraft fees (1) when a customer’s account is overdrawn by a total amount less than $10 for one day, (2) not charging overdraft fees on more than four items per day.

In June 2010, Bank of America plans additional changes including providing customers a choice to opt in or out of overdraft capability.

Chase

Chase is also planning changes in the first quarter of 2010 including not charging a fee when the overdraft is less than $5 and not sorting items in descending amounts prior to posting (banks maximize their income using this kind of tricks!). Chase also plans to allow its customers to opt out of overdraft protection.

If you are continued to be charged overdraft fees, you can refer to my posts about how to get back overdraft fees back.

Chase just sent me a mail regarding the new rewards program for Chase Freedom Card with Chase Exclusive. I’m sad to tell you that the rewards for this Chase Freedom Card is getting worse. BUT, Chase gives the new rewards program a better name-Chase Ultimate Rewards.

Previously, Chase exclusive (people who have a checking account at Chase) for Chase Freedom Card members can get 3% cashback from 6 different categories each month. Now, you can get 1 point for $1 spent plus 10% bonus points (minimum $10 to start getting bonus points). If you are a Chase exclusive member, you can get 10 bonus points for each transaction. If you are not a Chase exclusive member, sorry, all you can get is 1 point plus 10% bonus points.

Let’s do the math:

Previous Chase Freedom Card: $100 can give you $3 cashback which is equal to 300 points.

Current Chase Freedom Card: $100 can give you 100+10+100 (maximum, assume $10 each transaction)=210 points.

The 210 points are based on the assumption that you use 10 transactions with $10 each, and 210 points are the maximum bonus you can get.

More information about the new Ultimate Rewards program can be found at chase.com/tour.

Although credit card market is still not in a good shape, Chase seems to be the only one credit card issuer that keeps introducing more and more credit card products into the market. Other than the Chase Sapphire Card that I mentioned few months ago, Chase also brought the Chase Slate Credit Card. Unlike the Chase Sapphire Card, the Chase Slate Card does not provide any sign up bonus. One obvious benefit of this Chase Slate Card is the 0% Intro APR and $0 annual fee. All other credit card features are similar to Chase credit card products. It is said that this Chase Slate Card is introduced to replace the previous Chase Platinum Card.

There is one, however, new feature that Chase launched together with this Chase Slate Card-the Chase BluePrint. Chase BluePrint is a unique feature that unveiled by Chase recently to manage your finances on your terms. With Chase BluePrint, Chase credit cardholders are offered versatile flexibility and customization for their existing Chase credit card accounts. After enrollment in the BluePrint program, cardholders can select special financing terms for individual purchases.

There are 4 points listed by Chase about the Chase BluePrint:

Full Pay: With Full Pay, the Chase credit cardholder can choose one or more of 14 categories of purchases for which the credit card issuer will waive the interest on the interval between the date of purchase and the billing due date, even if you don’t pay it off at the end of the month. (Most credit cards have this feature.)

Split It: If the Chase credit cardholders want to put a larger purchase on his/her credit card, he can set up a payment schedule much like an installment loan, based either on how long he wishes to take to pay it off or how much he wishes to pay per month.

Finish It: Chase offers a unique way to cardholders to pay off the credit card balances. Cardholders and Chase can work out a plan to pay off the balance gradually.

Track It: This feature allow the cardholder to track expenditures and payments conveniently. (Not new to me.)

Only the Chase Sapphire Card, Chase Freedom Card, Chase Slate Card, Chase Ink Card and Chase Platinum Card have this feature.
