$300 Bonus from National City Bank

November 16th, 2009 David 3 comments

The Huge Promotion from National City Bank I mentioned last came back again. This time National City Bank is also offering $300 checking account bonus for new customers who open a new checking account at National City, make direct deposit and other banking activities. National City Bank offers $75, $150 or even $200 bonus every now and then. But it is really rare to see a $300 bonus at this time.

This promotion was advertised at here (St. Louis Post-Dispatch). The Chicago Business also mentioned this promotion titled “National City Bank Sweetens Stakes to Snare Retail Customers“. However, you can not find the advertisement of this promotion at NationalCity.com. It seems that this is a branch-only event. You might need to go to your local National City Branch to request more information about this promotion and see whether you are eligible to the $300 offer.

nationalcity 300 bonusHere are some points you need to know:

$100 bonus: Set up direct deposit of your paycheck/pension/social security (at least $400) and having 10 check card purchases within 60 days of account opening.

Additional $100 bonus: Keep the direct deposit and complete an additional 25 check card purchases by 3/31/2010.

The 3rd $100 bonus: Keep the direct deposit and complete an additional 25 Check Card purchases by 5/31/2010.

It seems that all of the 3 $100 bonuses are easy to get. You need to make direct deposit of $400 or more and use National City Check Card to make purchases until 05/31/2010. This offer ends on November 28, 2009.

Hurry up! Visit your local National City Bank to get more information. (Last year, I saw my local National City Bank was offering small flyers about this $300 promotion.)

Chase British Airways Signature Visa Card Offers 100,000 Bonus Miles

November 9th, 2009 David 5 comments

Finally, we get news on the “huge” credit card offer from Chase. From the link provided here, we can see that Chase and British Airlines are offering super hot 100,000 bonus miles after spending $2000 in three months. This offer is much better than I mentioned American Express Premier Rewards Gold Card which is offering $150 bonus after spending $1000 in 3 months.

I believe this 100,000 bonus miles are good enough for TWO round trips from USA to Europe or Asia. This deal is way better than other airline miles offers. You can check the miles needed to get a free ticket at here.

The bad thing on this card is that there is a $75 annual fee on this card. This card is now available for application for U.S. British Airways Executive Club members and those who are not club members have to wait until November 16 to start application.

British Airways Signature Visa CardIf you can not make $2000 in 3 months, you can still get 50,000 bonus miles after first purchase. (Surely, you will make $2000 goal. Because usually you can buy some gift cards to qualify the spending requirements.)

Another feature is that if you spend over $30000 on this card, you can get a free companion ticket. If you travel a lot, I think this is a decent offer for you.

So, why wait? 100,000 bonus miles are not usual.

(Tips, visa signature card is a high-end visa card, you need relatively good credit standing to get is approved.)

$100 Bonus from Chase Sapphire Card

November 6th, 2009 David 3 comments

Chase Freedom Card is offering $50 bonus and now the newly released Chase Sapphire Card is offering $100 bonus. To me, Chase is the only credit card issuer that still offers huge sign up bonus for credit cards that are not charging annual fees. I have 4 credit cards at Chase and over the past few years I never have any problem with them. So I would like to share this information with you. If you are not approved instantly, you can call Chase to check the application status. And if you have other credit cards at Chase, you can move part of your other credit cards’ credit limit to this new Chase Sapphire Card to get it approved.

So what’s this new Chase Sapphire Card is offering?

This Chase Sapphire Card is offering 10,000 bonus points after your first purchase, balance transfer, or check that is used to access your account, excluding cash advances. This 10,000 bonus points will be deposited to your account within 6~8 weeks which can be redeemed for a $100 gift card. So basically you are getting $100 gift card from Chase after first use of this credit card.

The most important thing is this Chase Sapphire Card does not have annual fee! You are worry-free!

chase sapphireIn addition, You will earn 1 point for each $1 of net purchases. You will earn an additional 1 point for each $1 of eligible airfare net purchases made online through the program booking tool. There is no maximum number of points that you can accumulate in the program. All of the points accumulated can be redeemed for gift cards and airline tickets. The points can be redeemed starting at 2,500 points for a $25 statement credit to apply to any purchase(s) made with your Chase credit card, where permitted by law, and in 100-point increments for each additional $1 of credit. Rebate redemptions start at $25 in rebates for a $25 statement credit to apply to any purchase(s) made with your Chase credit card, where permitted by law.

Chase also has the ultimate rewards mall, which is an online shopping rewards program like the add it up from Bank of America. You can earn additional points for shopping through this Chase Ultimate Rewards Mall.

Currently, I think this Chase Sapphire Card is the best personal card from Chase or other credit card issuer. Especially for those who spend a lot of money per year and can easily reach the rewards cap set by credit card issuers. Go and grab a Chase Sapphire Card now!!!

PayPal 5% Cash Back via Invitation

November 5th, 2009 David No comments

Once per year, the holiday shopping season is approaching. Other than the merchants that are trying to increase the sales. Our beloved credit card issuers, and other payment processing providers like Paypal are also trying to promote their own services. If you are lucky, you are now receiving an invitation from PayPal regarding a 5% cashback for the coming shopping season.

The invitation goes to my not-frequently-used PayPal account. The title of the email is: By invitation only: David, get 5% cash back all season long.

By receiving this email, you are pre-selected by Paypal to get a 5% chance to get more rewards for your holiday shopping.

The content of this email:

You’ve been selected to receive a special offer: PayPal Cash Back Rewards. After your second PayPal purchase, you’ll earn 5% cash back on your additional PayPal purchases* through December 21st. And with one-step sign up, you’ll be earning cash back in no time.

SO you need to sign up via click the link in the email to be eligible to get the rewards.

Some important points about this prmotion:

  • After your second purchase, you start earning 5% cash back on all additional purchases until December 21st.
  • Up to $20 cash back for each purchase.
  • Cash back can be combined with other offers.
Terms and conditions:
Receive 5% cash back (“Cash Back Rewards”) on your 3rd purchase and each purchase thereafter through December 21, 2009 (excluding tax and paypal 2shipping), made from any participating U.S. merchant when you use PayPal as the payment method (“Offer”). Purchases made at eBay.com do not qualify for this Offer. Offer begins on November 3, 2009 and ends December 21, 2009 or as long as the Cash Back Rewards Offer is available on the PayPal site, whichever occurs first. In order to receive this Offer you must 1) have a U.S. PayPal account in good standing, 2) receive an email directly from PayPal inviting you to participate in this Offer, 3) register for the Cash Back Rewards Offer, when prompted to do so, using the same email address where you received the Offer invitation, and 4) complete two purchases. Your third purchase, and each purchase you make after that, will qualify for the Offer, as long as they are completed by December 21, 2009. The maximum amount of cash back under this Offer is limited to $20 USD per purchase, and a maximum of $200 USD per PayPal account from November 3, 2009 through December 21, 2009. The cash back will be deposited into your PayPal account between November 19, 2009 and December 30, 2009, based upon your transaction dates.
Since Paypal is used solely for online transactions, a lot of merchants are not available. But now most merchants have order online and in-store pickup. You can take advantage of this method to save more.
