December 14th, 2009 David No comments

Amazon.com is promoting the new payment method—Amazon.com PayPhrase which is an easy-to-remember shortcut to shipping and payment information in your Amazon.com account. Use it for Express Checkout at Amazon.com and across the web. Many online merchants are now accepting Amazon.com PayPhrase as payment method.

You can easily learn what PayPhrase is at http://www.amazon.com/gp/payphrase/claim/whats-this.html.

Luckily, now we have cashback for shopping Amazon.com and other featured merchants at Amazon.com via PayPhrase.

Following is the details about this promotion which can be found at here.

Step 1: Create your PayPhrase

PayPhrase is an easy-to-remember shortcut to shipping and payment information in your Amazon.com account. Use it for Express Checkout at Amazon.com and across the web.

If you already have a PayPhrase, go straight to Step 2

Look for the CashBack with PayPhrase buttons when you checkout at Amazon.com or participating merchant sites. Place your order using PayPhrase wherever you see the CashBack with PayPhrase buttons. Earn 5% CashBack at Amazon.com and 10% CashBack at merchants across the web.

Orders must ship by December 31, 2009 for a purchase to be deemed eligible for the CashBack Rewards program.

Now Bing Has 20% Cashback for Ebay Purchases

December 7th, 2009 David No comments

I think the best new for this holiday season is that Bing.com (a microsoft search engine company) and ebay are offering 20% cash back for shopping at Ebay.com via Bing.com seach with paypal as the payment! Now this promotion will bring down all of the item for sale at ebay.com with 20% less cost for you. It is a great deal! If you are shopping for some Christmas gifts or laptops or cameras, this is a great chance for you to save money.

Here is how to get the 20% cashback  through Bing.com and ebay:

Search key words like: wii cheap, panasonic, apple, macbook pro etc (see figure attached)

Then you will see the links under the search bar, you will see 8% off, 15% off or even 20% off in the links

(If you can not get 20% off immediately, you should refresh your browser until you get the 20% off one. Just keep trying.)

Click the link to ebay.com and you will see the 20% cashback at the top of the ebay page.

Search whatever you like at ebay.com and use Buy It Now to checkout and pay with paypal!

The 20% cashback will be deposited to your cashback account immediately.

Another important change is that Bing.com and ebay has increases the maximum transactions for each ebay account from 25 to 40. But the maximum amount you can get from Bing.com is still capped at $2500 per year. See this page: http://pages.ebay.com/cashbackoffer/terms.html?afepn=5335869999&campid=5335869999&PID=1225267&_trksid=m38.

How to Contact Buy.com CEO?

December 4th, 2009 David No comments

I know this post is not relevant to MyCardBlog but I think someone might find this useful. Buy.com is an internet retailer similar to Amazon.com. And sometimes you can always find great deals from buy.com. I made several purchases from Buy.com occasionally. And I find that the products I ordered from Buy.com sometimes are not so good. I do not know why but it is true. I will contact their customer service and let them know that I am not satisfied with the products and want a return or replacement. Somehow their customer service (with the best phone number 800-800-0800) are not so helpful. So I searched on the internet and found out the way to contact their CEO.

If you are pissed off by Buy.com, you can try to contact Neel Grover at 949-448-5400 (possible ex 2101). You need to tell the operator that you need Neel’s office. Or you can also write to Neel Grover at:

BuyServices Inc.
85 Enterprise, Suite 100
Aliso Viejo, CA 92656

When you make a call, you can ask the operator to track which VP is available as well.

By the way, Buy.com has a Buy.com Platinum Visa Card which can give you $30 back after first purchase. This credit card is issued by Chase.

Ebates.com Introduces Fast Cash

October 21st, 2009 David 1 comment

Ebates.com is the only cashback rewards program that I am using now for shopping online. If you do not know what is Ebates.com and how it works, please refer to my post about ebates.com. If you join ebates.com now, you can get free $5 bonus for signing up and making a purchase (you have to make a purchase to make the $5 bonus eligible). Ebates.com used to provide check or paypal to pay your cashback (you need to earn >$5 to get paid). But now Ebates.com is offering FAST CASH which allows you to easily use your cashback rewards at Ebates.com without getting checks or paypal payments.

To me FAST CASH is really functional, you can use your FAST CASH to make online purchase, or transfer money to your bank account, or even order a real plastic visa prepaid card with your balance at Ebates.com and use it at checkout!

When you choose to use FAST CASH, you will be issued a free VISA virtual account. It has a credit card/debit card-like card number, expiration date, security code and your billing address. This VISA virtual account has all the payment information you need to shop online. Your Visa virtual debit card is used just like a credit card – but it is not a credit card and carries no interest charges or annual fee.

Since you can not exceed the amount in your account, you can add a credit card to relate your VISA virtual account and make a payment just like a credit card. But this feature will add more security for your online shopping! You can also transfer your balance to your bank account or request a real plastic visa credit to use. I really like ebates. The cashback is really fast and they are very reliable.

Start shopping with Ebates.com and earning cashback now! Read more…

Rent.com $100 Visa Rewards Card

October 15th, 2009 David No comments

I’m writing this post because I find that many of you might be not aware that if your apartment is listed at Rent.com (an Ebay company), you are eligible to get $100 visa Rewards Card from Rent.com. I just received this $100 visa rewards card today so this promotion should work.

The process to get the $100 rewards card is pretty easy. All you have to do is using Rent.com to find your new apartment. If you find an apartment that features the $100 Reward Card and tell the leasing office that you found the property on “Rent.com” when you visit. After you lease, just report your lease on the Rent.com website. And then Rent.com will take care of everything!

But please be advised that not all of properties listed at Rent.com will award $100 rewards card. You have to find the ones that features the $100 Rewards card. That how they work:

Some properties featured on our site pay us a fee only when their Rent.com advertisement results in a lease. When a renter reports their lease at one of those properties to us, we know to contact that property to collect our advertising fee. So for those properties, we reward renters for telling us about their lease by offering a $100 prepaid Visa® debit card!

More information about this $100 visa rewards card is here. According to the rule, you have to report your lease to Rent.com within 60 days of move-in. It takes about 6~9 weeks to receive the $100 rewards card after you report your lease to Rent.com. Good Luck!!!
