November 1st, 2007 David No comments

Right now you can get a Free Digital Picture Frame from Citi Credit Protector.cp_bonus.gif The digidtal picture frame seems to be Coby DP562 5.6 inchDigital Picture Frame with MP3. According to Amazon.com the price is about $60. You can get the gift after 60 days. I think it’s a nice deal if you have a lot of credit cards or you won’t carry a lot of balance on the card you enrolled. The price is $0.85 for each new $100 balace on the card. I can enroll this program with my Citi Dividend Platinum select Card without any problem. However, others indicate that they can’t enroll the Citi Protector with Professional Card. Compared to the DVD player that they previously provided, it’s really a nice deal currently from Citicards.com. To enroll the program, please click here.

$20 Discover Gift Card for every $200

October 28th, 2007 David 4 comments

I just got the information about the Discover Card promotion with shopping malls in US. It seems Discover does this promotion every year. The promotion is quite simple.discover_logo_gray.gif

Get a $20 discover gift card for every $200 in purchases made with your discover card at participating shopping center between 11/1/2007 and 12/31/2007. You have to present your original receipt to the shopping center customer service or discover card booth. They will give you a $20 discover gift card and put a stamp on your receipt. Remember you don’t have to put the receipt there. You can still keep it. So maybe you can return the stuffs to the stores and make $20. However, you can only get maximum 5 gift cards. It seems Discover is going to warm up the shopping season now. For details about this promotion, please see here.

CapitalOne $50 Bonus

September 25th, 2007 David No comments

capitalone.gifCapital One No Hassle Cash Rewards Card is offering $50 credit after first purchase. This card features a 1% cash rewards on everything plus 25% annual bonus on the cash you earned during the year. SO the average cash rewards is about 1.25% on everything. If you don’t have a 2% on everything card, this is a good choice. (You’d better have other specific cards which will give you more rewards—-like gas card.) You can redeem the rewards at anytime! There is no minimum amount required. If you’d like to get $1, then go ahead. They will send you a check! You can earn cash back as much as you can. There is no limit! To receive the $50 credit, you have to use the card before Dec 31, 2007.

Another feature is they won’t charge foreign transaction fees. Don’t like Citi, Chase and BOA which will charge about 3% transaction fees for transactions made in a foreign currency. (See http://www.capitalone.com/tv/)

My experience tells me that they will pull credit report from 3 credit bureaus.
