$10 debit card promotion from Citibank

October 19th, 2007 David No comments

Here is a promotion from Citibank. I am not sure this is targeted offer or not. The rule is: 1) register your Citibank Debit MasterCard through this link; 2) make 3 signature-based purchases for $30 more/each during Oct and Nov. So the cashback is about 10% based on making $100 (at least 3*$30) purchase. You must enroll to participate in this promotion.

$50 for making 15 purchases from Chase Check Card

October 16th, 2007 David 7 comments

I noticed the promotion several days ago. “Use your Chase Check Card for all your everyday purchases and you could get a $50 cash reward.” To qualify for this offer, you have to make 15 signature based purchases from Oct 1st to Dec 15, 2007. Remember you can’t enter PIN when you check out, that won’t be considered as signature based purchase. (Click here to register your check card.) You have to get 7 digit promotion code from your mail. If you don’t have the code, please call 800-935-9935 to request one. I didn’t call the number yet. The customer service told me that “ Regarding the get $50.00 promotion, you can find your code on the mail you received about this special offer. This offer is for customers across the country who are getting special offers that reward them for using their Chase Visa Check Cards. The only customers getting these offers are those who haven’t used their check card to make a non-PIN purchase in the last three months.” It seems that most of us will not qualify for this offer. But I will try to call them up and see what will happen.

$75 from Bank of America

October 11th, 2007 David No comments

banklogo.gifRight now, Bank of America is offering $75 for its customers for opening a new MyAccess checking account. (the preliminary requirement is you should have a credit card account with them) The offer code is CH750LB. This time you have to fund this account with only $25. However, the $100 bonus offer is still available. To get the $100 bonus you should use offer code AOU2610. For both accounts, there is no monthly maintenance fee and no minimum balance requirement. You don’t have to set up direct deposit for this account. It’s really a good deal. Your lost is a hard pull on your credit report. Hurry up! Click here to apply for $100 offer and click here to see the $75 offer. I have no idea why they offer the similar offers. Both indicate that the offer expire on 12/31/2007. I applied for the MyAccess checking account on Aug 1st and got $200 ($100 each) on Sep 7th. I don’t know why they gave me $200. But it’s not bad!

$101 from PNC (expired)

October 9th, 2007 David No comments

PNC bank is offering sign-up bonus for new customers opening a personal checking account with direct deposit between October 7 and November 17, 2007. They will give you $101 for opening a personal checking acount with direct deposit.

There are three checking accounts from which you can choose. For Free Checking account, you have to maintain $2,000 minimum balance to avoid ATM transaction fees outside PNC ATMs. For Performance Checking account, you have to maintain $2,500 minimum balance to avoid service fees. And you can earn interest for balance higher than $2,000. For Performance Select Checking account, $10,000 minimum balance required to avoid monthly fees.

Here are several important points about the sign-up bonus:
1). The payout of $101 will be credited to the qualifying account within 7 days of the first Direct Deposit, which must occur before 1/31/08.
2). A qualifying Direct Deposit is defined as a recurring Direct Deposit of a paycheck, pension, Social Security or other regular monthly income electronically deposited into a Free, Performance or Performance Select Checking account each statement cycle. The minimum amount of any single Direct Deposit must be at least $500. The Direct Deposits must be made by an employer or an outside agency.
3). You should maintain balance to avoid related fees.
It seems a really difficult deal to jump. I’m thinking of using ING Direct account or Paypal (they count Paypal and ACH push as DD) to put $600 in this account and then close it. Or maybe I will stay for 6 months as Chase. Of course I will open free checking, and get the money back to ING every month. My (or maybe all of you) concern is whether they will take the $101 back. Click here to application page.

Chase Banking Miles Bonus

October 2nd, 2007 David No comments

cs217_header.jpgWe all have known the chase banking bonus—$100 with direct deposit. Here I want to provide another offer from Chase–earn miles from Chase checking account. You can earn 10,000 Continetal bonus miles for opening a chase checking account with direct deposit. If you choose to accept the Chase Continental Airlines Preferred Banking Card for a $65 annual fee, you can get 7,500 bonus miles more. Of course you can choose to get the Chase Continental Airlines Banking Card for only $25 annual fee and get 2,500 bonus miles. If you need Continetal miles, I think it’s really a good deal. you can combine the miles from credit card. With your first purchase, you can get 20,000 bonus miles from Continental Airlines World MasterCard. So how many miles can you get from Chase? If you want to earn 4,000 miles more, please check about KeyBank. The keymiles debit card will give you 4,000 bonues miles.

Here is a tip: when you open the checking account, choose the Preferred Banking Card and don’t use it. Cancel that card in 3 months and you can get the refund of the annual fee. Hmm… you can get 37,500 miles or 32,500 miles from Chase. It’s a good deal. The deal will expire on Dec 31, 2007. It’s useful for those who don’t have time to open a checking account to get $100. For checking account, click here and choose “learn more”, then you can print the coupon. Each time when you click “learn more”, you will getdifferent coupon code. For credit card, see here or see my previous post on mileagerewards card.

Get Bonus from Sharebuilder

September 28th, 2007 David 6 comments

header16.gif

We have talked a lot about credit card and bank. Today I want to introduce new component in the finance market—share trading. Most of us may be used to put money in the checking/saving accounts, CDs and money market accounts. Sure those are very safe. But we should see the rewards they can bring for us is limited. We can earn only about 5% APY from them. SO we have other choice—buy shares. It’s obvious that the risk to earn money from share trading is much higher than that form banks. But if we just open the account and make small purchase in order to get the signup bonus, the risk is minimized. What you need to do is to buy a cheapest stock which will cost you around $3-$10. You then are qulified to receive bonus form the sharebrokers. After that you can transfer money back to you accounts in banks. It seems so easy!!! Everyone can do that! The lost is about $4 comission. BUT you can get $50 or more bonus!

Ok. The following are some links to open an account at Sharebuilder.com

$50 hhecare5007, $45 wissalum45, $30 30ucla, $45 uagrad, $50 stbank07, $50 TVSB50, $40 ENTERTAIN40, 2000 continetal miles, 3500 skymiles, 2500 usairways dividend miles, $70-$90 for costco members.

As I said you can have multiple accounts at sharebuiler.com which means you can earn multiple bonuses.

Tradeking also provide similar offers. You can get$100 from tradeking. Promotion code: ACCESS100. Instead, they offer bonus for refering a new customer for current customers. Whenever someone you refer funds his or her account with at least $1,000 and executes a trade, we’ll deposit $50 into your account. It seems similar like ING.

Get $50 from ING!

September 26th, 2007 David No comments

A good news for those who don’t have an ING account right now. ING Direct is offering $50 sign-up bonus for their new customers. It says it’s a special bonus for New York Times readers, but you can sign up here by using the promo code: NY3. Offer expires 09/30/2007.

TO receive the bonus, you have to open an Orange Savings Account with initial deposit of $250. This account features no minimum balance, no fees and 4.30% APY. For those who need the source of direct deposit, ING is a good choice. When paypal is not considered as a direct deposit, they usually take the transfer from ING as direct deposit. When you open the account, a soft pull will reflect on your credit report. Compared to the previous post from which we can get $25 by referred by our friends, this is really a good deal!
This deal has been a history.

Bonus from Fidelity

September 24th, 2007 David No comments

images.jpgToday I got a mail from Fidelity which is offerring me AA miles for openning an account there. SO I rememebr that Fidelity is offering $100 bonus as well as AA/UA mileage bonus for opening a nonretirement brokerage account. Here I’m summarizing the Fidelity banking deal.

I think you can get the AA/UA mileage bonus first. Their offer is: $50,000-25,000 AA/UA miles, $10,000-15,000 AA/UA miles, $2,500-5,000 AA/UA miles. You can choose here for AA miles and here for UA miles. Please choose the right account type. The bnous miles will show up in you AA/UA mileage account very soon. Then if you have extra money, please go ahead and take the $100 bonus. If you don’t have $10,000 available in your other bank accounts, please transfer the money back to your bank account.

You should sing up here. After filling all of the information, click “An eligible fidelity account”—You should click this to qualify for the $100 bonus. And then click “Confirm”—make sure the information is right. The bonus should be show up very soon.

So within two weeks, you can get 15,000 AA/UA miles and extra $100 bonus. The requirement is you have $10,000. I believe it’s very safe to put money there because millions of Americans put their retirement savings there.

The bank of America is currently leading in bank loan market. Their target market for no fax payday loan is the people, who need to pay their unexpected expenses with such emergency loans. Their consolidated loan is getting more popular owing to its ability to combine other debts into single monthly payment. The nature of these loans can be both unsecured and secured. The secured loan requires some sort of collaterals against their issuance. Bank of America is offering cheap secured loans and car finance of varying degrees.
