I applied for the British Airways Chase Signature Card on the BA website on November 4th, 2009. (opened my BA ff miles account at same time) The offer I clicked on was the 50K sign-up/ 50K miles (after $2000 spent) offer. I was approved and my account was opened on November 19th, 2009. I spent the $2,000+ the first three weeks I had the card. I recently checked my BA ff account and noticed only 30K miles in the account. When I called Chase, they told me my application was for the 30K offer. NOT!!! There was no 30K offer on the BA website when I applied for the 50/50K offer. The only reason I signed up for this card was for the 50/50K offer. They told me they can'y guarantee that they can credit the 70K miles they owe me, and that they need to research my application. Has anyone had this experience? I want my miles!!!! I'm pissed!!! Any suggestions on my recourse?? Thanks

not all CC card deals are for everyone. it's good that you don't spend that much on CC per year.

Also bad is that you still have to pay taxes on the flight, which can be quite expensive.
Am I the only one thinking that the comment "(Surely, you will make $2000 goal. Because usually you can buy some gift cards to qualify the spending requirements.)" is ridiculous? I know I don't typically put $8000 on my credit cards each year. I'm struggling to reach $1000 in 3 months for another deal. I also don't want to buy $1000 worth of gift cards to qualify for a free flight to Europe...which although nice is not as convenient to use as cash back that is offered by other cards.
