THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS... I can now fully pay off a pending insurance bill that I was going to have to finance!

I was skeptical, but I called the 704 area code number and explained my situation to the gentleman I spoke to. I received 13 overdraft fees in three weeks due partially to a bank error and partially to my own math error. He was very pleasant and friendly. I did not get any money handling tips, but I was told that the fee refund I received (not all the fees, but a nice portion thereof) was a one-time courtesy and to be more careful in the future.

I just got off the phone with a very nice lady and explained to her that a simple mistake ended up in $210 worth of overdraft fees and she didn't lecture me about it or anything. She was very understanding and reviewed my account and she could tell where the tiny mistake was made on my part. 10 minutes later...$210 refund in my account just like that!! :)

Call, be nice and more than likely you will get a refund. :)

Thanks for the #, BTW!!!

thank you sooo much for this post!!! Let me start off by saying that I was very skeptical about getting my situation worked out. I dont have the patience or the desire to argue with people over the phone about money. I was getting ready to pay my overdraft fees and close my account when I decided to google my matter. The woman I spoke to was very professional and polite. I admitted that it was my mistake but that it was my first time getting an OD fee in 3 years of banking with them. Just be honest with them and do not get rude or nasty with them. After a 25 minute convo which included really helpful money tracking tips, I was given a credit and had my 3 OD fees removed! It does work!

Thank you - what a public service you have provided. I got $910.00 refunded by writing to the executive office and all the other addresses listed. The charges were too far in the past for the person on the phone to address, but the Executive Office actually called back and said they'd taken care of it. I have to give BofA credit for responding promptly and so positively. And most of all, thank you again for posting this information. This means a LOT to our family.
