Update on Amazon.Com Quick Picks

February 4th, 2008 David Leave a comment Go to comments

I have a post on how to manipulate your Amazon.Com “Qiuck Picks” to save 5% or more. (Click here.) However, you have to wait overnight to get the relative products show up in your account and get discount. Today, I’d like to spread out one more method on using “Quick Picks” at Amazon.Com. In this way, you can get discounts instantly.

Step 1. Do not log in your amazon.com account. Just open the website and find out something related or just the specific stuff that you want. Make sure you can find the product you want at Amazon.Com.

Step 2. Register a new account at Amazon.Com with another email address. You can have the same name and shipping address.

Step 3. Tell/Fool Amazon.Com that you own that product.

Step 4. Click “Deals of the Day” and the product should be yours with discount.

Here is what I get:

Note: You can add your address later in this new account. But you have to prepare multiple email addresses in order to play this game.

Use Amaon.Com Plstinum Visa Card to save more!

Thanks for detailing the steps needed to get the Amazon Gold Box discount. I have personally used this trick several times in the past, so am pretty confident I am doing it right. However, I have not been able to get the items I want in my Goldbox recently (last week or so). I have even created two new Amazon accounts (now have 4), with no success. Everything that is showing up in my “Today’s Deal” “Quick Picks” is completely unrelated to my searches, ratings, and the items I have marked as “I Own it,” i.e., I have makeup items and craft books in my Goldbox “Quick Picks,” when I have actually been rating/marking camera items.

I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem getting the Goldbox trick to work. In my case, the purchase I am debating is $3,500, so the Goldbox trick would save me $175.

Thanks in advance for any help!
