Absolute crap. Good card GREAT balance crappy customer service. Note to the wise ALWAYS check your purchases they like to give you phantom purchases and take a week to clear your damn payment!!

Shawn, I got exactly the same problem as yours! I answered “no” because I thought what it means to be a “permanent resident” is a green-card holder. I got rejected and was so disappointed. I’m trying to reapply the card and I hope I got approved. If not, I will be pissed off! =p

I guess I did something wrong in the application. So, what should I do now? Apply again and say I am a permanent resident? Will it work? I mean will the previous application negatively affect my future application?

BTW, do I have to say I am a permanent resident or U.S. citizen when I apply credit card online with Citi or other issuers?

Yes. You should choose “Yes” at“Are you a permanent resident or U.S. citizen?”. And you should put a US address at “Permanent Home Contact Information”. You can apply again but I’m not sure. Another way is to call Citi and ask them to reconsider your application.

I applied this card yesterday. But, unfortunately, refused quickly. The reason is that I have a permanent address and phone number outside the US. Is it kidding me?

Of course, I have an address outside the US, but I am a full time student here. I am not eligible for this student card??
