$50 for Chase Check Card

Posted on 24 October 2007

I noticed the promotion several days ago. And I have a post about this promotion here. However, at that time, I was unable to get the promotion code to register my check card. According to the talk with Chase CSR, the promotion is targeted at those who didn’t use their check card for 3 months. However, this night I randomly put 2356325 as the promotion code, and my card was registered! Amazing! Then I also tried with 1234567 to see whether this will work or not. Guess what? You Chase Visa Check Card is registered to earn $50! SO my guess is you cna put in every 7 digit numbers to register your check card. Go ahead and try you luck!

To qualify for this offer, you have to make 15 signature based purchases from Oct 1st to Dec 15, 2007. Remember you can’t enter PIN when you check out, that won’t be considered as signature based purchase. To register your check card, please click here.

I just try that and it works for me too. But since they just need last 4 digits of my Chase Check Card, I wonder whether they can identify my check card with that.

  2. David says:

I think it doesn’t matter. The last 4 digit numbers are usually different.

  3. Fei says:

If they can do that, they must have less than 10000 debit card users, which seems so few for chase…

  4. David says:

That’s ture. However, I never know what the problem with Chase. Maybe the card holders with the same 4 gidits will get the bonus….hehe

  5. canhelp says:

I try a randmon 4 digits of that. It shows sucees. I think they don’t check their database for the card number you input.

  6. David says:

Thanks canhelp. Then we really don’t know what happened to Chase…..

  7. onlyproud says:

    does online purchase count?

  8. David says:

Yes. Online purchase should be counted as signature based. Because you have no way to enter your PIN.

  9. qing says:

bill payment made using a Chase Visa® Check Card also qualify. does this mean online bill pay from checking account?

  10. qing says:

and how about transfer from debit card to my paypal account?

  11. David says:

I think Paypal works. The bill payment has different meaning with online bill payment using checking account.

  12. qing says:

    thanks, I hope paypal works:)

  13. David says:

Maybe you can try it and then tell us your result. Thank you!

  14. qing says:

But how can I know whether it works? Can I check online how many times I used debit card? Because maybe even if this works, when I get 50, it’s already after Dec 15, 2007

  15. David says:

Yes. You can check it online to see the transactions. It’s a little risky to get the bonus.

  16. DecRain says:

Haven’t received the bonus yet. sent a message to chase. let’s see what will happen next.
